Mercari Features
You can search for items using one of the following methods.
- Search for items by keyword, categories, or brands using the search bar at the top of the screen
- Search for items by selecting hashtags (#xyz), categories, or brands in item descriptions
How to filter search results:
When the search results are displayed, select “Filters” to further filter the results.
How to sort search results:
Tap “Recommended,” then select your preferred display order.
After searching for items, tap “Save this search” shown at the bottom the screen.
You can save up to 100 searches and set notifications for new listings matching your search.
How to view saved searches:
You can view your saved searches in the “Saved Searches” tab under “My Account.”
Delete saved searches and change notification settings:
View your saved searches in the “Saved Searches” tab under “My Account,” then follow the steps below.
- Tap the three dots to the right of the search term

Select “Delete” or “Edit new listing notification settings”

You can change notification settings in the “Notification and Function Settings” tab under “My Account.”
*You cannot turn off notifications using “Notification settings” for messages sent from the Help Center
- Notifications on: Color is blue
- Notifications off: Color is white
Check when notifications are sent for each function

Transaction-related notifications
- When an item order has been made to Buyee
- When an item has been purchased by Buyee
- When an item has arrived at Buyee’s warehouse
- When an item has been shipped by Buyee

Announcements
- When information on campaigns or other promotions is sent by Mercari

New listings matching saved searches
- When new items matching your saved searches are listed

Price drops on liked items
- When the price of an item you have liked has dropped

Listings by followed sellers

When a seller you follow lists a new item

You can view all your liked items by tapping the heart icon on the items screen.
Please note that Mercari Shops items will not show up in your “Liked items” list.
How to view liked items:
You can view your liked items in the “Likes” list tab under “My Account.”
How to remove an item from “Likes”:
- Tap the heart icon on the items screen once again
- Go to your “Likes” list, then tap the three dots next to the item and select “Remove from likes”
- Go to your “Likes” list, then tap “Edit > Trash Box icon > Complete”
Tap the three dots on the page of the seller you wish to block and select “Block this user.” The seller’s items will not appear in item search results or item timeline.
How to unblock a seller
Just like when blocking a user, tap the three dots on the page of the seller you wish to unblock and select “Unblock this user.”
How to check the blocked sellers list
You can view the blocked sellers list in the “Blocked Sellers” list tab under “My Account > User Settings”
You can change the displayed language and currency in the “Language/Currency Settings” tab under “My Account.” Select your preferred language or currency and tap “Update language and currency.”
