Overview
Mercari prohibits users residing outside of Japan from purchasing items that cannot be sent outside Japan due to domestic or international laws and regulations.
What kind of items are subject to the above?
Items that cannot be sent outside Japan (main examples)
- Items that infringe on laws and regulations, treaties, and the like
- Dangerous goods and cosmetics (containing 25% or more alcohol) prohibited under the Civil Aeronautics Act
- Living organisms (animals and plants, human bodies, human body parts), human remains
- Items that incite discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender or sexuality, or political beliefs
- Items deemed inappropriate from an ethical perspective
- Any other items that Mercari deems inappropriate
Other information
Depending on the transportation restrictions or regulations in each destination country/region, some items may not be delivered even after purchase.
