Cases Where a Transaction Can Be Canceled

If any of the following applies, Buyee may cancel the transaction after you have purchased an item.
There are many items listed for sale on Mercari, so please consider purchasing a different item.


Reasons for cancellation
  • The item was not available when the proxy service made the purchase
  • The item was not available in the store after the proxy service made the purchase
  • The item was a prohibited item
  • The item price increased by a wide margin
  • The delivery date cannot be confirmed
  • The seller requested cancellation due to the seller’s circumstances
  • The coupon expired during checkout
  • Other reasons (for example, Mercari’s Help Center deems that the transaction should be cancelled)

Other reasons: If users have selected an added option, Buyee may also cancel a transaction at its discretion in the following cases.

  • Standard Plan
    • There is a clear difference between the delivered item and the description and images on the item page
    • The item was missing or damaged on arrival
  • Inspection Plan
    • There is a clear difference between the delivered item and the description and images on the item page
  • Insured Delivery Plan
    • The item was damaged or missing on arrival
