Mercari recommends verification by SMS (Short Message Service) of your mobile phone number to prevent impersonation or unauthorized access.

We ask for your cooperation in verifying your phone number so that everyone can use our service safely and securely.

《Important Notes》

• You cannot register a number other than the one in the country you are using Mercari in. For example, in the case of Japan, the country code will be "+81"
• You cannot use a landline phone number.

1. Tap "Phone number" in the Personal Information menu on your account page and then tap "Verify your phone number"
2. Enter the mobile phone number you wish to verify in the phone number field and tap "Start phone number verification"
   *You cannot register a number other than the one in the country you are using Mercari in. For example, in the case of Japan, the country code will be "+81"
   *You cannot use a landline phone number
3. Enter the 6-digit verification code sent by SMS to the mobile phone number entered in Step 2 and tap "Verify your phone number"

• The verification code is only valid for 10 minutes.
• If you fail to enter the verification code multiple times, you will be temporarily unable to log in. Please wait before trying to log in again.
• If you do not receive a verification code, please try resending the verification code or verifying over the phone (phone call).
