About Payment
This guide explains the procedures related to payment.
Currently, the only accepted payment method on Mercari is credit card.
The following credit cards are supported.
- American Express
- eftpos Australia
- JCB
- Mastercard
- Visa
<Important Notes>
- Only credit cards issued in the country/region where the customer is registered can be used. Credit cards issued in other countries or regions cannot be used. Please understand this in advance.
- To prevent any issues, only use credit cards that are in your own name for payment.
Depending on your card and location, the following information may be required during payment.
- Full name
- Card number
- Expiry date
- Security code (CVC)
- Email address
- Phone number
- Postal code
- 3D Secure authentication information
- Any other information required by the card issuer
Once the payment is completed, an order confirmation email will be sent from Mercari.
The total amount you pay includes.
- Item Price
- The item price is in Japanese yen and converted into your local currency using Mercari’s designated exchange rate.
- International Shipping Fee
- Covers shipping from the domestic warehouse in Japan to your overseas address. Packaging and handling at the warehouse are included in this fee.
- Service Fee
- As a proxy purchase handling fee, it includes order processing costs and handling fees.
Your payment amount on Mercari is calculated based on an exchange rate that updates automatically in real time.
As a result, the total price (including the item price) may fluctuate over time.
Please be sure to confirm the final payment amount displayed on the checkout screen at the time of purchase.
