The payment methods currently available on Mercari Japan are credit card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

The following credit cards are supported.

• American Express
• eftpos Australia
• JCB
• Mastercard
• Visa

＜Important Notes＞

• Only credit cards issued in the country/region where the customer is registered can be used. Credit cards issued in other countries or regions cannot be used. Please understand this in advance.
• To prevent any issues, only use credit cards that are in your own name for payment.

Depending on your card and location, the following information may be required during payment.

• Full name
• Card number
• Expiry date
• Security code (CVC)
• Email address
• Phone number
• Postal code
• 3D Secure authentication information
• Any other information required by the card issuer

Once the payment is completed, an order confirmation email will be sent from Mercari Japan.

Apple Pay/Google Pay will only be displayed if the following conditions are met.

Apple Pay

• Device settings:
  • Apple Pay is enabled in the system settings
  • Face ID or Touch ID is enabled
  • A credit card or other eligible payment card issued in your country/region has been added to the Wallet app

Google Pay

• Device and account settings:
  • The Google Pay app is installed and the initial setup has been completed
  • You are signed in to Google Play Services with a Google account that can use Google Pay
  • A credit card or other eligible payment card issued in your country/region has been added to the Wallet app
  • A credit card or other eligible payment card issued in your country/region has been added to the relevant Google account

If you've confirmed that these settings are correct and the issue still occurs, please try using a different payment method. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

The total amount you pay includes.

• Taiwan and Hong Kong
  • Item Price
    • The item price is in Japanese yen and converted into your local currency using Mercari Japan’s designated exchange rate.
  • Shipping Fee
    • Covers shipping from the domestic warehouse in Japan to your overseas address. Packaging and handling at the warehouse are included in this fee.
  • Service Fee
    • As a proxy purchase handling fee, it includes order processing costs and handling fees.
• The United States
  • Purchase Price
    • This includes the item price and applicable service fee for your order.
  • Shipping Fee
    • This reflects estimated international shipping rates from our warehouse in Japan to your destination and costs associated with export and delivery process provided by our logistics partners.. Packaging and handling at the warehouse are included in this fee.
  • Import duties and taxes
    • This reflects estimated government-imposed duties, taxes, and other applicable charges in your destination country.Amounts are calculated based on current estimates and the charged amount is final. Mercari Japan is not obligated to provide refunds or explanations for any differences between the estimated and actual costs.

Your payment amount on Mercari Japan is calculated based on an exchange rate that updates automatically in real time.
As a result, the total price (including the item price) may fluctuate over time.
